Our Winners at the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans National Conference

Congratulations to our winners!

Congratulations to our competitors who earned prize money at the  D’Aniello Family Foundation Business Plan Competition held during the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV) a program of the Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University.  Eight veterans and military spouses, who are established or aspiring entrepreneurs, were presented with a share of more than $110,000 in seed funding, thanks to the generosity of the D’Aniello Family Foundation, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the EBV Foundation.

Beulah Floyd of BRF Mobile Lube Plus, LLC from McDonough, Georgia and Ryan and Traci Ottosen of The VASH Network (Ottosen & Co) from Glendora, California presented their 15 minute business plan pitch on February 6th in front of a panel of expert judges who engaged them in 10 minutes of Q&A. Floyd and the Ottosens were included in the 10 semifinalists out of almost 50 entrepreneurs who submitted their business plans during the national conference in Charlotte, North Carolina. Floyd won the Most Innovative Venture Award ($10,000) while the Ottosens earned the Arthur H. and Mary E. Wilson Top Venture Impacting Veterans Award ($10,000) sponsored by Disabled American Veterans (DAV). We couldn't be prouder of our students who are empowering the Veteran community through employment and housing of homeless Veterans.
